Porsche Open Evening 2015
The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Porsche’s

Two hundred and twenty people accompanied by a record-breaking one hundred and thirty Porsche’s – ranging from a 1958 356 A to a present day Porsche 991 GTS -  made our 6th annual open evening a huge success. With all proceeds from the event going to a local charity – The Pendleside Hospice – a variety of fundraising methods including charity raffles and auctions helped hundreds of pounds for the charity.

Showcased inside our state-of-the-art service and repair centre were several of our ongoing restoration projects, an early 911 currently underway and a Lamborghini Diablo, as well as a recently completed 924 Le Mans. Occupying our two ramps were two complete opposites in models: a classic 1963 Porsche 356 C and a Limited Edition 997 Sports Classic, which both commanded vast attention from the wave of crowds moving between several of the classic models and the complimentary Hog Roast, with drinks provided for by Jasmine PorschaLink UK.

At the culmination of Director Brian Goff’s annual speech, in which he introduced members of staff, outlined the aims and functions of the company, he introduced Kev Howarth from the Historic Endurance Rally Organisation whose presentation and talk on Classic Rallying and “Porsche Holidays” was very well received by the crowds. Although the food and drinks were complimentary, Brian said in his speech, he urged visitors to donate kindly to Pendleside Hospice, which was met with warm generosity from our guests – as was the charity auction and raffle that followed.

The sound of Porsche engines rumbled through East Lancashire under a beautiful orange sky, with all models from all era’s descending on our facility for our annual event, in what is becoming a norm in the Porsche social calendar. We would like to extend warm thanks to Porsche Centre Leeds for providing the Porsche 991 GTS and one of the prizes for the charity raffle, and Euro Car Parts, Morrisons and Joanne Coulthard for their donations for our charity auction.
Prizes from our charity raffle were as follows:
1st Prize: £100.00 Service & Repair Voucher (courtesy of ourselves.)
2nd Prize: 150 piece Tool Box (courtesy of Euro Car Parts.)
3rd Prize: Porsche Tall Glasses (courtesy of Porsche Centre Leeds.)
4th Prize: Pagid Umbrella (courtesy of Pagid.)
