SUCCESS OF THE NORTH WEST PORSCHE FEST...

We are a nation of obsessive weather watchers but to receive a slice of sunshine and blue skies between a long period of  torrential rain and grey mundanity is nothing short of a miracle.  These were the perfect conditions received for the 7th Annual Open Evening at Jasmine PorschaLink UK, Independent Porsche Specialist, based in Nelson, Lancashire.

The good weather added to the record breaking turn out of over 200 Porsches,  along with over 260 of their owners and friends , who attended this prestigious and well established event. There was an envious line up of some rare and some very new models on show at Jasmine from a 1958 356, Cayman GT4 to the brand new 2016 991 GT3 RS.

To accompany the evening there was the popular triple gaming rig provided by Black Bear Computers with their Top Gear leaderboard style challenge, a pop up bar serving the ‘Jasmine Cocktail' provided by Michael and Carlo of Cocktail Couture and then just to add that finishing touch of eloquence to the evening was Janine playing some mellow tunes in the background on her saxophone.  There was a strong technical display by the Jasmine team too with the knowledgeable staff on hand for advice or to answer questions.

Supporting the event were many local customers with some from further afield, along with the local regional Independent Porsche Club and Porsche Club Great Britain who enjoyed a hot supper and complimentary refreshments with the red wine proving particularly popular.

The charity auction and raffle got everyone in a bidding frenzy for various Porsche and non-Porsche prizes, some of which were kindly donated by Porsche Centre Leeds and Euro Car Parts. The hugely successful event raised nearly £1000 which will be divided equally between two very worthy charities;
 North West Blood Bikes and the local East Lancashire Pendleside Hospice
